Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping at SA Sensors. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help.
Our Return and Refund Policy is governed by the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa. By purchasing our products, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Returns and Exchanges
You have 7 calendar days from the date you received an item to log a return or exchange request.
To be eligible for a return, please ensure that:

The item is unused, undamaged, and in the same condition that you received it.

The item must be in its original, unopened packaging (including intact security seals or plastic wrapping, where applicable).

You have the receipt, invoice, or proof of purchase.
⚠️ Crucial Exception for Electrical Components: Due to the sensitive nature of automotive electronic components (such as airflow sensors, oxygen sensors, and engine management sensors), items that have been plugged in, fitted, or subjected to electrical current cannot be accepted for a return or refund unless they are proven to have a manufacturing defect. This is because electrical spikes or incorrect installation from a vehicle can instantly damage a perfectly functioning sensor.
2. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

Items not in their original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

Any item returned more than 7 days after delivery.

Specially ordered or customized parts.
3. Defective or Warranty Claims
All SA Sensors products are covered by standard manufacturing warranties. If you believe a sensor is defective:

Please contact us immediately to report the fault.

The item must be returned to us for professional technical assessment and testing.

If the sensor is found to be defective due to a manufacturing fault, we will offer a replacement, repair, or full refund.

Please note: Warranty claims will be voided if the item shows signs of incorrect installation, alteration, misuse, water damage, or vehicle electrical surge damage.
4. Refund Process
Once we receive your returned item, our technical team will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will update you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.

Approved Returns: If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment (or via Electronic Funds Transfer / EFT).

Timeframe: You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your bank’s or payment gateway’s policies (typically 3 to 7 business days).
5. Shipping Costs

Customer Responsibility: You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item if you changed your mind or ordered the incorrect part. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

SA Sensors Responsibility: If the return is due to a manufacturing defect or an error on our part (e.g., we shipped the incorrect SKU), SA Sensors will cover or reimburse the return shipping costs.
6. How to Log a Return
If you need to return an item, please follow these steps:

Contact our support team via email at support@sasensors.co.za (or your preferred contact email) with your order number and details of the product you wish to return.

Provide a clear reason for the return and, if applicable, photos of the unopened product or details of the vehicle fault code.

Once our team approves the return request, we will provide you with the delivery address for the return shipment.
